And when great souls die, after a period peace blooms, slowly and always irregularly. Spaces fill with a kind of soothing electric vibration. Our senses, restored, never to be the same, whisper to us. They existed. We can be. Be and be better. For they existed.
— Maya Angelou

Each year, the Massachusetts Center for Unexpected Infant & Child Death publishes a Book of Remembrance in loving memory of our children. This book is a compilation of submissions made by individual families and includes pictures, poems, quotes, stories, and other meaningful content.

This book is available as an annual offering, and submissions are always accepted and can be made at anytime. You do not need to live in Massachusetts to make a submission.

Any Book of Remembrance submission received by September 1, 2025 will be included in our 2025 book. Submissions made after September 1st will be included in our 2026 book. This book is available at no-cost, and families can opt to receive up to 5 copies each.

You may make a submission here.
